Edmonton Cycle Club is a leisure cycling club. We're based in Enfield in North London, England.
While other clubs may concentrate on covering huge distances on-road, or negotiating mountainous terrain on MTB's, we are more into the sociable side of cycling. A ride with us tends to be mainly on towpaths, quiet country lanes and backstreets. Sometimes we head out into the surrounding Hertfordshire countryside, while other rides may take us in towards London to discover a secret oasis of calm within the city. Our regular rides vary in length: easier rides under 25 miles (suitable for families and less experienced riders) and longer, more challenging rides for the more experienced. The diary gives details of each ride.
Club members often participate in cycling trips at home or abroad organised by third parties.
There's normally one or two rides every month (more in the summer, fewer in the winter) mostly on Sundays. Most rides start at 9:30 or 10am, and we generally stop for lunch at a pub or café and arrive back home between 4pm and 6pm. Check the diary on this website for details.
We also hold planning meetings and informal social evenings at the Winchmore Hill Sports Club every month.
If all this sounds like your kind of thing then why not join us. Membership is free! Just visit the contact page for more information.
We hope to see you on a ride shortly.
